President's Message

We can run out of oil, but water is life.

As an active member of our community for over 28 years it continues to be my goal to work to improve our community. We (the HRMUD Board) will continue to work and grow to bring quality water at reasonable rates to all who live in our water district. Our district is one of the largest MUD's (municipal water district) in Texas (91,000 acres).

At this time our District is averaging twenty-eight new connections per month. An addition to our Reverse Osmosis Plant of two million gallons per day allows for substantial growth in the development of homes and industry. New improvements planned for the District include another RO Train, Mesa Spur Drain effluent line, Waste Water Treatment Plant expansion and a new water tank, to mention a few. Purple Pipe plans are in progress and our Waste Water Treatment will some day include treated waste water for irrigation at school play areas, parks and construction water, saving millions of gallons of drinking water now used for these purposes. Five additional water wells will be on line within this calendar year and plans for more are in the works.

We are fiscally sound and see no increases in the foreseeable future in water rates, taxes or trash disposal fees. We are continually looking for methods to keep costs down and continue to work for quality water at reasonable rates.

Respectfully,

John Navidomskis
HRMUD President
